Shelter Reservations

The SCCE commons area is one of the best features in the neighborhood and you can share these community amenities with your friends and family throughout the summer.

Reservations are open for the 2024 summer season!

Follow these steps to reserve the shelter for events between May 27, 2024 (Memorial Day) and September 2, 2024 (Labor Day):

  1. Check the calendar below for shelter availability.
    Hint: if the day is grey it’s unavailable.

  2. Submit the form to hold your reservation.
    Please Note: Your reservation is not confirmed until payment has been received.

  3. Call Ruthie Delamarian at 605-877-1376 to arrange for payment and reservation confirmation.

  4. Submit payment.
    Checks Only Please. Payment must be received 10 days before the reservation date. Checks can be made to SCCE and placed in the mailbox in the commons area or mailed to:

SCCE maintains the pool, bathrooms, and common areas during the summer months. Our staff will prepare the shelter area before your event by making sure the trash cans are empty, tables and floors are tidy, and the bathrooms are stocked and cleaned.

  • Rental Fees

    Reservation fee:
    $30.00 (10-50 people)
    $50.00 (51-100 people)

    You’ll have full-day access to the shelter for 10-50 guests.

    Please note: there is a $100.00 clean-up fee if the shelter area requires additional cleaning after your event.

    Unpaid fees or recurrent messes will preclude your ability to rent the shelter for the rest of the season.

  • What's included

    Residents can rent the picnic shelter from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

    Your reservation includes the use of the covered shelter area, picnic tables, restrooms, and garbage bins.

    You will have access to the shelter from 10:00 am to 8:45 pm.

    Reservations do not include exclusive use of the pool or park.

  • Your mission

    Rental responsibilities include:

    Removal of all personal items.

    Return picnic tables to the standard configuration if they were moved.

    Clean-up of the shelter and surrounding area including proper disposal of trash.

    Please be respectful of the facilities and to SCCE residents using the pool and park.

  • Fine print

    Reservation availability is based on a first paid, first reserved policy.

    Reservation fee must be paid within seven (7) days of your event.

    Reservations are guaranteed only after payment is received.

    Refunds are only issued in the form of credit for a future reservation.
